1.What is Plaque and Tartar?
Plaque is a sticky, clear film that is constantly forming on teeth and along the gum line. It contains millions of bacteria, these bacteria can cause tooth decay and gum disease over time. If plaque is not removed by brushing or flossing, it will start to harden and calcify. This hardened plaque is called tartar. And remember brushing only removes 40% of plaque; this can be prevented by flossing daily.
